ABOUT KICK IT TOUCH
KICK IT Touch Football is a blend of Rugby League and touch footy. Although the skills and rules are close to those of league, this is a non-contact form of the game where the emphasis is on running, kicking, passing, agility and above all, having fun with your mates!
KICK IT has a strong focus on skill development with the ability to play without fear of injuries from heavy contact and tackles. We strive to create a competition with a culture developed on enjoyment and a social atmosphere.
KICK IT is a great mixed sport and we encourage both men’s and mixed teams to enter the competition. In the future we hope to provide separate men’s, women’s, mixed and junior competitions Australia wide.
KICK IT helps to develop essential skills and fitness for use both in rugby league and other sports. Playing KICK IT games during or at the end of a competitive football season is a great way to maintain top fitness levels and improve skills.
KICK IT Touch Football is a game that offers an opportunity for those of all shapes, sizes and skills to make new friends and share experiences with other football fanatics. Join our competition and enjoy the laughs and friendship that not only supporting but playing football can bring!
ABOUT THE TEAM
Chris and Renee have always had a passion for footy from the early days of playing backyard football to Chris playing with his local team in Bundaberg and progressing to the Brisbane colts, A-Grade & QRL competitions. The Morrow siblings are very excited about providing a professionally run competition with a great social atmosphere.
Chris has played rugby league for Bundaberg Brothers, Redcliffe, Norths and Wynnum over the years. He loves that the non-contact sport KICK IT can be played by a wide range of players with different skill levels. Chris believes that KICK IT can bring a new dimension to a footy player’s skills. You can develop a kicking game that will come in handy on the rugby league, we all love to see a front-rower kick the ball in general play… so come along and hone your skills!
Renee has played touch football from the age of 10. Being a huge supporter of footy Renee is very excited about the new dimension to social touch. The ability of kicking and league rules makes touch more interesting and allows you to pull off some great tries.
Feel free at any stage to contact Chris or Renee should you have any questions about KICK IT. They will be more than happy to talk with you as they are dedicated to increasing the awareness of KICK IT touch footy throughout Australia.
