Summer Season Div 2 Mixed Finals Wrap
The Troopers played the Mavericks in the mixed DIV 2 final. They recently played each other during competition rounds where the Troopers took out the win 8-6. With a number of Kick It touch referees in both teams, it was going to be another close encounter between good friends. The Mavericks opened the scoring with Westie showing the Troopers his “W” to dive on a perfectly weighted grubber kick to score. It wasn’t long before the Troopers bounced back with KK scoring a 2-pointer! A tight match followed with some comical banter, & when the final hooter sounded, it was the Troopers who were victors for the second time this season, winning the grand final match 6-3.
