Mixed Nuts | Carseldine Mixed Champs
Mixed Nuts have overcome a gallant performance from The Boods to take out the Carseldine Mixed Summer competition.

Featuring a host of Rep stars, Mixed Nuts capitalised when it mattered most – Corey Pocock and Tristan Bell-Blissner each grabbed four tries.

Not to be outdone, The Boods’ captain Shaun Rees grabbed a hat-trick, while the girls crossed for two of their own.

The victory is an age in the making following lengthy field maintenance, weather and COVID delays dating back months.

Earlier, The Boods defeating Troopers 6-4 in a hotly contested semi final with the girls playing a crucial roll for the victors.

In a shortened match, a late assist by Shaun Rees to his female teammate snatched the win.

A big thanks to Grill’d Chermside – both grand final teams received a handful of free burger vouchers.
