We are proud to organise the ninth annual Kick It Touch charity event in support of Mental Health.

A key member of the Kick It community since 2008, Tyrone tragically passed away earlier this year.

The Tyrone Lockrey Memorial Shield is an amazing opportunity to come together as a community, recognise, reach out and speak up against mental illness.

In partnership with LIVIN and the friends + family of Tyrone, we can help 'kick the stigma' associated with mental health and depression as one.

To can get involved in the charity event, you can register a team, be an event sponsor, make a donation or simply be a spectator and share the love in-person.
Team registrations are open to everyone.

Event Details
Date: Sunday, May 21st.
Venue: The Green, Carseldine.
Address: 532 Beams Road, Carseldine.
Start: 9:00 - 4:30pm.
Format: Four 20-minute pool games, plus finals.
Competition: Mixed.
Players per team: Maximum 15.
Team Cost: $300 total.

Proceeds will go towards delivering mental health programs to young people and the Lockrey family.
Food and Beverages will be available. Professional photos will be taken during the day.

Team notes:
- Players will be permitted to play in two teams.
- Shared players are included in team's total player numbers.
- All players must be outlined in your team's team list submitted prior to the event.
- Injury replacements are permitted at the discretion of the event organiser and must be a like-for-like player.
- Players' who leave the event early, can not be replaced.

ONE in FIVE Australians will be affected by mental health issues this year and almost half of all Australians will experience a mental health illness in their lifetime.

Together with LIVIN we have been able to deliver eight charity events from 2015-2022, donating thousands towards educational programs and raising vital awareness.

LIVIN is about spending time with the ones you love, making the most of life and breaking the stigma around mental health.

Connecting, supporting and encouraging one another to talk about their feelings and challenges because “It Ain’t Weak to Speak”.

Through the development of cutting edge education programs, apparel and community awareness initiatives, LIVIN is launching a generational change.

Who is Tyrone Lockrey?

Ty joined the Kick It community in 2008. Fresh out of high school, he and some of his best mates started a team at Shaw Road on Thursday nights.

Such was his love for footy, he supported the social environment at Kick It by refereeing for a number of years.

When Ty took the field, he meant business. Every game was whole hearted. He never took himself too seriously and was the first to have a laugh. It is that laugh that still resonates with plenty within the Kick It community today.

Ty was an extremely gifted footy player (played 1 game of Q Cup), who also embodied many of the best qualities of our footy vibe.

Those qualities helped his sides win numerous grand finals and events. The individual accolades naturally came to0, with three man of the match awards in grand final victories.

He was the sort of selfless person who tried to lift up as many people around him as possible, and avoided making it about him, even if everyone knew he was the best player on the field that day.
