City have claimed an impressive 5-3 win over Country in the second Kick It Touch City/Country Origin on Sunday.

The victory was a fantastic come-up following Country's 4-3 win in June.

Characterised by a mammoth amount of possession, City capitalised when it mattered with early tries to Flickers' front man Lachy Mothers

Mothers would push the scores out to 2-0 with an emphatic in-and-away near the goal line in the 10th minute.

With their backs against the Country swooped with a length-of-the-field intercept by Dugongs' Anthony Hanna.

Flickers' Zac Kent produced Country's second try with some fleet footwork down the right edge to fool multiple defenders.

The possession returned for the men in white as Troopers' Cam Webb crossed for his first off a nice short pass from Cattledog's Lochie Beetson.

To snapback momentum, Untouchies Antony Tatkovic latched on to a rogue pass to runaway and bring the scores level early in the second half.

Misfits' Henry Waller produced a quality short kick and draw and pass to send One Kick Wonders' Matt Beard over to break the deadlock.

LGM's speedster Jesse Ripley was held in check for much of the game, however in front of fatiguing defence, he stuck with a short-kick and late try to push the scores out to five and ice the game.

Well done to City on their 5-3 defeat of Country.
