Third time is a charm
Balls Deep have secured their maiden division one grand final win over Flickers to conclude summer season.
Runners up in their past two finals, a starring performance by their middle players got them home in a 5-2 victory.
Balls Deep captain and leading mens try scorer Nathan Wilson proved effective with two tries and an assist.
Jack Leavers and James Wilson proved instrumental with a try each.
It was the first time Flickers had reached a grand final in their three years in the competition.
Embarking as a team filled with individuals, now a rock-solid squad with grand final experience.
Tom Cockrill scored Flickers two tries through his speed and kicking ability.
Well done to Balls Deep on their grand final win.
Teams take home a team voucher thanks to Range Brewing and King Tea.
In year 17, Dugongs still got it

The longest-serving Kick It team ran away with a 6-3 win over Slap Happy in the division two final.
Player of the match Anthony Hanna crossed for four tries in a defining performance that included two long-range efforts.
Mens Allstars representative Jed Cartwright crossed for a try of his own, and laid on one for Hanna.
Edge defence from Renaee Shaw-Roach and Leisl Pederson was pivotal inn shutting down any chance of a Slap Happy come back.
It wasn't all one way with some classy touches by the experienced players in Slap Happy.
Well-worked tries to Clancy Tickner and Justin Noonan kept pace with Dugongs for much of the match.
It's Slap Happy's second consecutive division two grand final without a desired result.
Dugongs make it two division two wins in the past three years. Well done!
