P-Dub Rule Carseldine Mens Roost

P-Dub has secured its fourth Carseldine Mens title after defeating Beer Pressure 4-1 on Wednesday night.

It was the Padua Old Boys’ seventh straight grand final appearance over a period spanning back to the 2016 Spring season at Kedron Lions AFL Club.

Early tries to Luke and Jarrod gave P-Dub the lead before a crisp intercept from team captain, Joe pushed the lead out to 3-0 right on halftime

The second half proved to be a stalemate up until the 35th minute mark with some lovely hands from Beer Pressure captain Ben and Shaun senting North Brisbane representative Will over for a try.

A controversial penalty try minutes later iced the game for P-Dub.

Reigning champions, The Ballerz won their second mixed crown in as many seasons, defeating 4-time champions Mother Ruckers 4-3.

It was Mother Ruckers’ seventh grand final appearance in the last eight seasons and first not as the reigning champions.

Mother Ruckers crossed first with fleet-flooted Keegan scooting down the sideline.

The reigning champions applied the pressure with some crafty split plays from dummy half testing Mother Rucker’s defence. Ballerz captain Jake crossed with a nifty short kick into the in goal.

Queensland captain Jess found the try line moments later diving on a loose ball to take a 3-1 lead into halftime.

Long serving Mother Rucker, Phil capitalised on some sluggish defence and jumped on a grubber after running around multiple players.

The competitive spirit flowed as The Ballerz jumped ahead 4-2 with a wonderful dummy half split from Jess, sending Ben over.

Mother Ruckers hit back through their captain Brandon in the 38th minute to set up a grand stand finish.

The Ballerz held on for a famous victory is one of the best grand final matches in recent history.

Tries: The Ballerz (Jake, Jess, Ben) | Mother Ruckers (Keegan, Will F, Brandon).
MOTM: Jaxson (The Ballerz)

Hawaii Try-O go whoa in first season!

New mixed champions Hawaii Try-O have won their maiden mixed two title in their first season. A hard fort battle with long-time team Troopers ensured an enthralling matchup.

Man of the match Kosta proved to be the difference with some stout defence, while scoring a try of his own.

Queensland representative Michael paved the way for the Troopers, crossing for a try of his own and showcasing his trademark speed.

When the dust had settled, Hawaii Try-0 came out on top 5-3 over Troopers.
