The first leg of the 2021 Representative Cup will take place at Gold Park, Toowoomba on Saturday, April 17th.
It’s the first time Toowoomba will play host to the Cup since it’s inception at Shaw Road in 2012.
Host teams the Giants and Storm will have a distinct advantage in home conditions to take down reigning mens and mixed champions the North Brisbane Sharks.
The Sharks steamrolled the competition last October before meeting the Giants in both respective finals.
As the mixed team held on for a tight 5-4 victory, the mens team aided by a clean bill of health slammed shut the hopes of the Giants in devastating 5-1 fashion.
With the top two teams remaining largely intact, we could see a repeat performance come April, in what will be a showdown of the ages.
Teams will be announced by mid-March with training and trial matches already underway.
