Game Day Sunday presents a fantastic opportunity for all registered kids to play in a full 30-minute game in front of family and friends at the end of each term.
On Sunday, term one kids played in an outstanding touch football match between team blue and team pink.
The fact that each and every child got involved and give it a go was most pleasing.
To see the progression in the group from a confidence and skills point of view has been pleasing.
We had a number of kids who had not played much touch football before, and to see them have fun, laugh and learn with everyone else was great to experience.
The match had great flow as team pink took an early lead, scoring 3 tries to 1 in the opening half.
Some quality combo work aided in pink's early use of the ball, posting two quick tries, while a third came off a length of the field effort by scooping up a loose ball.
Team Blue rebounded exceptionally well in the second half, scoring four tries to two, including a try on the final play of the game to level the scores.
While we don't place too much emphasis on the score, the kids certainly did! They knew scores were 5-5 at the end of the game.
As it was a draw, all the kids received some joint prizes thanks to our season sponsors.
Great work kids!
